New Sales record for AMSS in 2011 By continuing to build on already strong relationships with existing customers, AMSS finished 2011 on a high note. Having successfully broken into new global markets, we saw a record in sales figures for the year. In commenting on the sales figures, AMSS Managing Director Andy Cookson stated: “Our reputation, quality of products, and trusted relationships has enabled us to gain entry into new markets in both the military and civilian sectors.

In December AMSS travelled to Sitges, Barcelona to exhibit at the 13th annual Ground Handling International Conference.There were over 500 international senior aviation executives in attendance so this was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with the many friends and customers we have made over the years.The Conference proved such a success AMSS has committed to attending the 5th GHI Asian Conference held between 20-23 March in Bangkok. We also look forward to the next GHI Europe Conference in Milan in 2013

Further to his visit earlier in 2011, Carwyn Jones returned to AMSS. During his trip he took a tour around the factory to view first hand the high quality of workmanship that goes into all our products. This then led to discussions of the plans we have for expansion, resulting in future job opportunities and a larger capacity for production. The First Minister expressed his ongoing pledge to support the continuing growth of industry in South Wales and we look forward to welcoming him back in 2012.

Proven capability cooling of the largest aircraft in the most challenging hot and humid environments. ACU 150 - the new air conditioning trolley is specifically designed for cooling narrow and wide body aircraft in high ambient temperatures. It is worldwide deployable, capable of operating at altitudes from sea level to 3000 metres, and will deliver up to 700lbs/min of conditioned air.

Following 2 years of hard work, AMSS delivered the final ATLAS loader to the Royal Air Force following on-time and on-budget completion of a 2 year contract working closely with personnel at DE&S, Air Command and numerous operating bases at home and abroad.
